Halloween Party 2009!

It was a dark and stormy night...but at ESC’s annual Halloween Party the temperature was heating up! ESC staff and students took over Toronto’s Suba Nightclub for a night of drinks, dancing, and “ghoulishly” good times.

The dance floor was packed all night, but had to clear out for our amazing costume contest: We saw jail-birds, cute kittens, and even zombie cheerleaders. And don’t forget about our favourite characters like the Jolly Green Giant, Little Red Riding Hood, and Harry Potter!

ESC Junior Program

Every year, the English School of Canada welcomes hundreds of students from around the world to our Summer Program at the University of Toronto. Our students love staying in the heart of downtown Toronto, and our residence is within walking distance to many shops, museums, and parks. In addition to 15 hours per week of structured ESL classes, students participate in a variety of after-school trips and full-day excursions.

This year, we were delighted to welcome back some familiar faces and groups from Argentina, Mexico, Spain, Russia, and Venezuela. We were also excited to build new relationships with students and group leaders from Italy, and Saudi Arabia. A sincere THANK YOU goes out to all the group leaders and chaperones who joined us in Toronto this summer. In total, more than 15 countries were represented in this year’s program, making it a great opportunity for students to meet other students from around the world!
